The Khula Clinic is an initiative of Ububele, and a partner of the JHB Clinic. Khula Clinic offers therapy for children, adolescents and parents as well as psycho-educational assessments at reduced-fee rates.

Our staff is made up of clinical, educational and counselling psychologists, child psychotherapists and psychoanalysts with special interests in working with babies and children, young people and families. We work closely with health, education and social care professionals to ensure we have a holistic view of your child.

Our therapy and assessment services are offered at a reduced-fee rate. We assess and treat the full range of emotional and behavioural difficulties in childhood and adolescence.

The services below do have waiting periods, but we hope to help you as soon as we can.

Parent Infant Psychotherapy Clinic

Ububele’s Parent-Infant Psychotherapy (PIP) clinic is a therapeutic service available to infants and their caregivers (biological or otherwise), with the aim of promoting infant mental health and optimal development.

Appropriate reasons for using this service may include feeding, sleeping or eating difficulties; post-natal depression; parental anxiety; birth trauma; previous losses; or any worries about yourself or your baby.

This service is for any infant under the age of three and their parents/caregivers: parents who lost a child during pregnancy or in child birth, infants in institutional (Child and Youth Care Centres) or foster care as well as infants in neo-natal hospital settings.

Therapy sessions in the Parent-Infant Psychotherapy clinic are weekly, and last 50 minutes long. There is a standard non-negotiable fee of R550 per session for these specialised therapy services provided by the Khula Clinic.

Children and Caregivers Therapy Services

The following therapeutic services are offered by the Khula Clinic in Parktown: Under 5’s Therapy, Play Therapy, and Adolescent Therapy.

For these types of therapy, each session lasts 50 minutes long. There is a standard non-negotiable fee of R550 per session for these therapy services provided by the Khula Clinic.

Psycho-educational Assessments

The Khula Clinic also offers full psycho-educational evaluations of children and adolescents.

This comprehensive assessment can provide useful insights into your child’s learning abilities, providing valuable feedback to parents, caregivers and educators.

Psycho-educational assessments are offered by the Khula Clinic at a non-negotiable reduced rate of R5500 per assessment in 2025.
